Dipnet fishermen line both banks of the Kenai River where it drains into Cook Inlet in downtown Kenai, Alaska. For several weeks each summer, the river's mouth takes on a carnival atmosphere as Alaskan residents come to the area from across the state to catch sockeye salmon.
